Jackie Morris Bates' CD - "Love is Above it All" - has received multiple accolades for new Album, and in 2007, she was nominated for "Country Artist of the Year" and "Southern Gospel Artist of the Year" by the Christian Independent Artists Summit Momentum Awards. She recently returned from a Missionary Trip to India.
GUEST: Jackie Morris Bates has ministered for more than two decades, occupying a place among Christian genre's musical artists. God's path for Jackie's life has involved her in street ministry, prison ministries, as a keynote speaker for woman's conferences and for fun - events that allows her to impersonate her favorite country singer, Patsy Cline. As an admired Christian artist and minister, Jackie bates has received multiple accolades for her recent album, "Love Is Above It All". In 2007, she was nominated for "Country Artist of the Year" and "Southern Gospel Artist of the Year" by the Christian Independent Artists Summit Momentum Awards. Known for her gentle humility, authentic warmth and engaging graciousness, Jackie's love for the people has uniquely endeared her to the countless devoted fans that enthusiastically follow her career. I was named after my sweet dad. He was Jack, I was his baby girl Jackie. Diagnosed with cancer in 2003, Jackie experienced the healing power of Jesus Christ. As Jackie describes her walk with Christ, "I do not second guess Him. I have discovered that the years of walking with Christ have given me a faith of steel - unmovable, unshakable. Of her own life, Jackie says, "I conclude simply that, for me, there is no other way but to follow Christ... to seek Him... to run to Him. He has a place in my heart that longs for Him". Jackie's compelling desire in the days ahead is radiate of the love of Jesus, uplift the downtrodden and point all toward a more vigorous pursuit of Christ.
She Sounds Like... 2 cups Patsy Cline, 1 Cup Connie Smith, 1 Heaping Tablespoon of Wynonna, with a dash of Brenda Lee, a pinch of Dolly smoothly blended with my own natural flavoring and baked with fire of the Holy Spirit! I love the ocean!!! Give me a beach and I'll write a song! Influences in Jackies Life... My dear dad that died in August 1983. My great grandmother, Sarah, who was a missionary and is also with the Lord. My best friend, Denise, who is the kindest and most giving person I have ever known and is a constant source of support and encouragement.

GUEST: Barbara Mascio is the Founder and President of Senior Approved Services, LLC. She is an active advocate for the right of all seniors to receive excellent care. She has developed the industry’s first consumer-driven survey process for the purpose of helping seniors avoid contracting with less than desirable companies. She is a published author, a motivational speaker, and a professional clown. She is most proud of the role she plays in her family. Barbara is a wife, mother, and grandmother, and is one of the eldest in a family of ten children. Barbara is the Author and Facilitator of 10 individual workshops focusing on Natural Health techniques supporting self-responsibility, and the Author and Facilitator of the Caregiver’s Guide to Cracking UP! Workshop for families offering simple to apply methods to positively deal with stress. She is the Ohio Branch Manger for corporately owned Home Care Service and the Marketing Director for franchised Home Care Service. Barbara has Authored training manuals for sales staff and hourly employees in a variety of industries; Restaurant, Non-Medical Home Care, Independent Senior Housing, Assisted Living, Pre-Planning Memorial Services, and Resorts, and is the author of, “Playing the Hand Life Dealt...” published by Harmony Publishing (1990). Barbara volunteers as a guardian with Adult Guardianship Services of Cleveland, Ohio and, Supports and volunteers for a number of groups including; The Caregiver Courses of Fairhill Center, Benjamin Rose Caregiver Series, The National MS Association, The National Alzheimer’s Association, The Brain Injury Association, The Cleveland Stroke Club and the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging Caregiver Support Programs. She is also a Professional Clown known as "Jamdealie D. Light" who brings joy and laughter to those seniors that have isolated themselves within institutional settings.
