Bill Shafer is Executive Vice President of the Growing Bolder Media Group. Bill has been one of Central Florida’s most honored journalists for nearly 3 decades. As an anchor, producer, reporter and writer, Bill has developed numerous shows and feature franchises. He has served as Regional Representative for the Jefferson Awards, and has served with numerous civic groups. Bill won the 2004 Golden Leaf Award for Community Leadership, has been nominated for an Emmy Award, and is the recipient of numerous Central Florida Press Club Awards.

TOPIC: CIRCLE OF LOVE IN LIFE
EPISODE DESCRIPTION: This week Host Shirley W. Mitchell will be joined by her "Guest" Melina Brown & Roxanne Henry of "Call Light" - A Christian Female Artist Duo, as they discuss "Circle of Love in Life" with Call Light-The Beginning, The Inspiration of Song, Passion of Faith-He will Answer, and Operation Christmas Child.
GUEST: Melina Brown and Roxanne Henry, "Call Light", started singing at young ages in their Grandfather's church. Melina played piano and was one of the youngest worship leaders in her hometown. Roxanne became part of the youth choir and drew attention with her solos. Both girls continued to be involved in the music ministry after their Grandfather's death, moving to another church in their community. Their love of music spilled over into school, where both were members of choir, chamber choir, and Belles and Beaux. Under the direction of Michael Weiher, Melina and Roxanne both competed in high school singing competitions and won many awards in individual competitions as well as group competitions. Melina auditioned for and won many solos, while Roxanne excelled in drama classes taking the lead rolls in such productions as "Grease" and "The Boyfriend". Although their lives briefly took them away from the church in adulthood, their hearts never allowed them to stray to far from their roots. Both became wives, mothers, and working women. Daily striving to be a role model, good person, and "do the right thing." During this time, each had their own heartache and tragedy and always felt something was missing from their lives. This emptiness and the holy spirit tugging on their hearts eventually lead the ladies back to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Each has their own testimony of God's protective, loving hands over their lives as they made the journey back to the Lord. Over the years, Melina and Roxanne have had the pleasure of singing at many church functions. Each has honed their vocal skills by singing with various groups and bands.

GUEST: At a "Young 72" JoAnn Martin says her most important achievement is the parenting of three wonderful sons who contributed greatly to her research. She loves to live, laugh and love as a whole new life is unfolding before her. Everyday is a new beginning and, she is loving the journey as her evolution continues. JoAnn Martin was dubbed a "Born Teacher" by her grandmother as a child after arguing biblical points with her regarding the teachings of Jesus. I have taught in some capacity for as long as I can remember. My professional teaching career spanned over thirty years. Friends and family regularly seek my teaching in various ways. It is my joy to share information at many levels to inspire and motivate others to new levels. I was born in Texas, and after marriage and living abroad two years, settled in Southern California where I remained to work and raise my family for forty-eight years. Upon retiring in 2002 I started to yearn for "home" and returned to Texas in 2005 and settled in The Woodlands that I love. I've been inspired here to start a whole new life, and I am loving it. Her latest ventures include Raw Vegan Treat - A home retreat specializing in the raw food diet and a Home-Based Radio Podcast called "Wisdom, Wellness & Wealth" where I share the awareness I have gathered of wisdom, wellness and wealth on my journey through life, and an expanding Professional Speaking career.
